"I don't actually own a record player, so reviewing vinyl is always a difficult, nigh impossible, task. However, when something like a new Tellison slab of 7-inch loveliness lands on the doormat, you put in the extra effort to give it a spin. As a result, I popped round to my uncle's house and he allowed me several spins so I can write this review. Which was nice. Tellison have been kicking about for a long, long time now and, like a fine wine, they seem to be improving with age. 'Reader' is a fine, fine track and hopefully a positive sign of what is to come. I've read comparisons to Idlewild and Death Cab, and while they're not a million miles away, Tellison have the charm to make their own impact. All three songs here are good, making this little limited edition record worthy of your hard earned pennies. For the record, my uncle also quite liked Tellison. His actual words were "This actually sounds quite good." So there you have it. Tellison - even your uncles approve." Punktastic, 6th April 2006

We at Play Dead have a new favourite band. Pretty much on the strength of one song. Tellison have just put out their first single - it's called Reader and it's a fucking beauty. Imagine if you will a cross between all those late 90s bands who put out great tuneful pop-rock and mix it up with a modern sensibility that takes all the best parts of emo, punk and straight up rock, throws them together and comes out with something unique and exciting. In short, before this gets all a bit lost in a sea of genre description, Tellison are fucking great." Play Dead Single Of The Issue, Issue 18

TELLISON is a self-determining unit without girls from Hammersmith, West London in Britain near France. Drums, bass, guitar one, guitar two, voices, keyboards, laptops and extra-curricular instruments. Conversation, concert attendance and educational institution brought them together and time spent on motorways in Transit vans cemented friendships. They play what is best described as independent popular music. With big-hearted melodies and overdriven guitars. You're going to love them.
