Tellison - Reader (DIP020)

Getting dark at 7pm; too cold to wear sandals; summer skates are over, woolly things have been unearthed from the bottom of the wardrobe; must be October (almost). While we drink hot chocolate and wheel out the radiators, here's the latest from Gravity DIP HQ.

First off, the sad news that Twofold have decided to call it a day. They were an integral part of the GDIP family from the very start, playing one of our first all-dayers at The Peel back in 1998, and will be sorely missed. Every cloud has a silver lining though - in this case, it means you get to enjoy the 25-track 'Dance To The Rhythm', which includes every Twofold song ever recorded. Ten of the tracks are previously unreleased. There's also a final show, on 13 October at The Peel, fittingly on John Peel day. Tickets are available here.

Make sure you come out for one last chance to dance to the rhythm.

Just arrived, the debut Kill Kill Disconnect single. Sporting a rather lovely baby pink and black colour scheme courtesy of our very own Dave House, the 'Anna Wintour EP' has one foot in indie and the other in punk, with snotty vocals and hooks to die for. Think Buzzcocks meets early Idlewild. The CD is orderable online now.

Next up, Tellison's fantastic Reader seven inch. Each one lovingly handmade (okay, we got the actual records made in the Czech Republic, but the sleeves are all our own work) at GDIP HQ. Three tracks, the aforementioned Reader on the A-side, Winter Winter and Linley on the B-side. Online ordering available at the start of October. Tellison and Kill Kill Disconnect tour the UK through October, the Tour Dates page has all the info you need.

The artwork for Stapleton's 'Hug The Coast' is almost finished and is looking as brilliant as the album sounds, which is fitting. Don't forget, they're on tour with Jade Tree's Statistics in December. Check the ever-useful Tour Dates page for details and look out for the new Stapleton website later in October.

See you next time, with more news on our Cadillac Blindside and Metronomes CDs.
