Stapleton - Happy Homes and the Hearts That Make Them (from DIP022)

4th Nov - Here is the news...

November's here, bringing with it the smell of bonfires, fireworks, autumn leaves, fake Christmas trees along the wall of the building opposite us and attempts to remember where you put your scarf last February.

pre-order the album

Here at Gravity HQ, despite the sudden drop in temperature we are keeping more than warm as we rub our hands in anticipation of the new Stapleton album. 'Hug The Coast' fulfills all the promise of their previous recorded output and more. Think Death Cab, Grandaddy and Modest Mouse with fantastic lyrics and huge choruses. Leading up to its release on 12th December, we'll have a new track online every week here, at the Stapleton site and on their MySpace page. Join the Gravity mailing list to be updated as the tracks go online. The Stapleton UK tour starts at the end of this month.

12th December will also see the 'proper' release of the Jacob's Stories / Metronomes split and Dave House's 'You Are On My Frequency' single. So if you've resisted the lure of Gravity mail order up to this point, you'll be able to get both releases at your local discerning record emporium.

We're currently beavering away on the Cadillac Blindside retrospective, which will be out in January. In addition to all of the tracks the band released on Fueled By Ramen (home of Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco) we have an exclusive unreleased track, brand new sleevenotes written specially by the band and a pile of memorabilia to include.

The new Metronomes album 'Canoe' should also be with us in December, to coincide with some Jacob's Stories / Metronomes shows around the country.
