This week's TELLISON album preview tracks are 'Ambulance' and 'Architects'. Head over to the Tellison MySpace to listen. 'Gallery' got an amazing response on XFM - John Kennedy played it twice last week and hopefully there'll be more to come.

Surfing the ever-growing wave of well-deserved TELLISON appreciation, John Kennedy played 'Gallery' as his Hot One on XFM last night. Hooray, we say.
Marsha at XFM has also said lovely things about the record - she is a woman with excellent taste and you should subscribe to her weekly mailer, as you will find out about all sorts of brilliant bands.

This week's online previews from 'Contact! Contact!' are the all new album version of 'New York, New York, New York' and live favourite (aren't they all?) 'Amory'. Don't be so obvious... get thee to the Tellison MySpace.
Also this week, SATORI finish off their UK shows. If there's a show near you, don't think twice, get yourself down there - the current touring line-up includes Matt from Howard's Alias and legendary punk rock producer Peter Miles and they are shit hot. Fun times guaranteed.
All That Matters has been accompanying many a GDIP car journey over the last few weeks and we can confirm it's authentic bluebeat / lover's rock loveliness is the perfect accompaniment to a sunny day. Preview tracks via our last.fm player on the GDIP MySpace or indeed on last.fm.

DAVE HOUSE heads off on tour in a couple of days. This means that in the next couple of weeks, you should be attending a Dave House gig and most likely purchasing Dave House's new releases. But in the meantime, why not read our all new Dave House interview?

The time has come... You can now pre-order the magnificent TELLISON album Contact! Contact!. Pre-orders will all come with some sort of bonus, along with the obvious bonus that you're supporting an indie label, an indie store AND an indie band in one easy transaction.
We really can't say enough good things about this record. It's fun without forgetting that the best songs are about more than just dancing; it's heart-breaking without collapsing under the weight of emo cliches.
|
Most importantly, it's the sort of record you find yourself wanting to listen to again as soon as the last strains of the final track have faded. We're massively proud to be putting it out and you'll be proud to have it in your record collection.
The new issue of ROCK SOUND features a two page spread on the design work of our very own "singer, songwriter, punk rocker, artist and designer" DAVE HOUSE. Very impressive it looks too - check it out by clicking here or on the photo.

In shops this week, the MAC / ORKO split 10". As Subba-Cultcha put it "...when it comes to great UK underground rock music, well, it goes arm in arm with MAC, and with Orko providing some jarring hooks and jagged riffs, you'd be a fool not to buy this". Yes. Consider yourselves told.
The 10" is super-limited, on white vinyl and includes two brand new MAC tracks, one brand new ORKO track plus a track from the excellent 'Creating Short Fiction' album.
|
Also in shops this week, the excellent DAN POTTHAST album. "Acoustic ska-pop - the first really nice surprise of 2007. A complete confounding of expectations in a quite brilliant way. Happy, bouncy pop music for happy bouncy people" said Subba-Cultcha.
Our UK release of Dan's two solo albums gives you 31 tracks for the price of a single album, including two tracks previously unreleased anywhere else. Perfect for the (alleged) impending start of summer.

There are two more tracks from the brilliant new TELLISON album online at their MySpace - this week you can hear 'Fire' and 'Tender Is The Night', with two new tracks to follow each Monday for the next couple of weeks. We can't over-emphasise the general wonder of this record, so make sure you check them out.
